Pediatric Dental Partners is amazing! Dr. Smith and her team are so kind and patient with my kids. They make each visit a positive experience, and my children actually look forward to going to the dentist. The office is welcoming and kid-friendly, and the care is top-notch. I’m so glad we found Pediatric Dental Partners.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child visit the dentist by their first birthday or within six months of their first tooth appearing. Early visits help establish a dental home and allow us to monitor your child’s oral development.
You can start using fluoride toothpaste as soon as your child's first tooth appears. For children under three, use a rice-sized amount. For children three and older, use a pea-sized amount. Supervise brushing to ensure they don’t swallow the toothpaste.
Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of your child's back teeth (molars). They act as a barrier against cavities by sealing out food particles and plaque. Sealants are a quick and painless way to protect your child's teeth.
Preparing your child for their dental visit by explaining what to expect can help ease anxiety. Reading books about dental visits, watching videos, or role-playing a dental check-up can also be beneficial. Our team is trained to make the experience positive and fun.
