About us
At Moores Chapel Dentistry, we are thrilled to have Dr. Andy Truong as part of our team, having joined us in June 2023. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Truong is excited to return to his hometown and offer comprehensive dental care to the local community.
Dr. Truong's educational background is extensive. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and later obtained his master’s degree from North Carolina State University. Before dental school, he gained valuable experience working as a dental assistant, traveling to nursing homes across North Carolina to provide care.
He completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. Throughout his dental education, Dr. Truong actively contributed to the field by serving on the pre-dental committee as a mentor for aspiring dental students and tutoring preclinical modules. His final year of dental school included providing care in various North Carolina cities, including Sylva, Spruce Pine, and Ahoskie.
Dr. Truong is a dedicated member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. His commitment to continuous learning is evident in his passion for taking continuing education courses to ensure he provides the highest quality care to his patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Truong enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn. His personal interests include weightlifting, traveling, and improving his golf game. At Moores Chapel Dentistry, Dr. Truong is eager to contribute to your dental health and help you achieve a radiant smile.
