Christopher J. Couri, DDS, MS
About us
Dr. Christopher J. Couri, DDS, MS, is a distinguished periodontist deeply rooted in the Peoria community, where he was born and raised. After earning his dental degree from Saint Louis University and the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Dr. Couri specialized in Periodontics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). His extensive three-year residency included comprehensive training in all aspects of implant dentistry, and his expertise is reflected in multiple publications in respected dental journals.
In 1999, Dr. Couri returned to Peoria to take over his father’s long-established periodontal practice, which has proudly served Central Illinois for nine decades. His commitment to education is evident in his role as a periodontal instructor with OSF Hospital’s General Residency program, as well as his previous position as a clinical instructor at Illinois Central College. He is an active member and past president of the Peoria District Dental Society, and his professional affiliations include the Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Couri has also been honored with membership in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Couri is dedicated to his family, married with four children, and is actively involved in various civic and non-profit organizations within the community. He is proud to continue his family’s legacy of providing exceptional periodontal care and looks forward to welcoming patients to his practice for personalized, professional treatment.
